Initially, hydroponic system might sound complicated and intimidating, but it’s not. This system or technique is quite simple and easy to do. Basically your plants need three things: nutrients, water, and oxygen. There are six hydroponic systems you can apply directly or even combine:
- Drip System
- Wick System
- Water Culture System
- Nutrient Film Technique System
- Ebb – Flow System
- Aeroponic System
So those are the six basic systems using the hydroponic technique. However, you can even combine several systems as creatively and efficiently as possible to suit your needs. You just need to always remember that your plant needs nutrients, water, and oxygen, and you’re free to customize.
What you need to know before you make it
In making a hydroponic system, you need to consider the continuous use of the system, the kind of plant you want to grow, the area you want to use, and the planting medium you want to choose. Then, you can determine and prepare things you’ll need in the particular system like the size of your plant, the size of the roots, the amount of water, etc. Be wise, not all kinds of plants suit all kinds of hydroponic systems.
